When I try to open EDK, either through the desktop shortcut or in the xbash shell, I get a message that says it is opening the EDK GUI but then exits. Xps.exe will very briefly appear in the windows task manager but then disappears, so I don't think it is running in the background. One error I did get during the install was at the very end, the installer gave a popup that said it could not write into C:\Xilinx\11.1\common\fileset.txt. For some reason that file was set as read only. I undid the read only selection and then clicked OK in the popup window. I think the installer was then able to write some final info into the file, but perhaps it could not write everything it was supposed to? Just a thought.
