Mainly, I use 16F and 18F series. I am really happy with them, yet I would also like to step into the world of signal processing. Not planning on doing something fancy though. Just want to play with DACs, generate some sounds, etc. PIC16F series usually come in dual-in-line packages, which you can just plug into your breadboard. However, as far as I know, I can't use dsPICs in a similar manner because their oscillation speed is too high for breadboards. However, I can't build a dev-board by myself. I am not that skilled. Hence, I am looking for a digital signal processor development board. I am very familiar with programming PICs, so a PIC dev board would be good. However I also heard that Texas Instruments have some great dsp chips too. Can anyone recommend me a mid-range DSP board that I can play with? Thank you.
