All of my projects are under external source control (would that TFS could be interfaced as it can be in Atmel Studio 7!) which means that project files are read only unless they are deliberately being changed (files added, etc.). When opening X with a pre-loaded project or trying to run the compiler, I get this: Screenshot denied Ironically, if I check out the project files, load and build then shut down X (otherwise the changes in the project files are not written) and then compare the resulting files with the latest in the source control system, there are NO differences. Not even the time stamp has been changed which indicates that the files were never written. So why do the files need to be writable??? With previous versions, I was able to manage this by clearing the "Force Makefile Regeneration..." setting: Screenshot denied. As you can see this setting is cleared in 3.35. Alas it appears to do nothing and the files need to be writable. Any ideas or is this just a bug that has been re-introduced? AFAIR 3.10 does not have this problem. Do not know if anything in between that and 3.35 had the issue. Any help would save me a lot of time! And checking out everything on starting X is NOT an option. It is too easy to make accidental changes. I check out only what I intend to change.
