It's a looped, about 1-2 sec. sound caused by moving head and it doesn't stop until I double-click on Intel Optane tray icon or run Intel SSD toolbox. No doubt, the strange HDD behaviour is caused by Optane. Please help me to find the solution to stop these sounds - I hope the Optane SSD is not damaging my HDD. PS. HDD condition is excellent - no bad sectors, errors etc.

Firstly everything is ok, and the program is compiling in seconds as would be normal to expect. then, without a change, now the compiling time for the same program is around 4 minutes!!(I'm using XC8). I uninstalled all Java and all older versions of MPLABX, reinstalled version 40.5 afterwards, rebooted computer. After these steps, compile is fast again. Now, two days after, I turn on the computer, and the compile time is 4 minutes again. Since the problem went away with uninstalling/reboot, it seem that it must be a bug/problem/incompatibility of MPLABX... Maybe something already knew?? It's impossible to work with 4 minutes each time I need to compile... Thanks, Sergio
